Both types of lasers used at our clinic are FDA approved featuring both long and short pulses to effectively treat all skin types year round. These state of the art machines provide continual contact cooling of the skin to minimize any skin discomfort and ensure safety while removing numerous hairs at a time.
Please be aware that hair removal systems that use traditional light for treatment (Intense Pulse Light machines or IPLs) are not true hair removal lasers. IPLs are generally inexpensive devices and are designed for skin procedures rather hair removal. These devices produce a wide bandwidth of light that can heat up all of the surrounding tissue, resulting in skin damage and require many treatments before providing any substantial results.
1. How does laser work to remove hair
While the laser emits a beam that only heats the hair shaft, high temperature is transmitted from the hair shaft to the surrounding tissue for several milliseconds after the laser pulses, resulting in heating and destroying the follicle. Our lasers possess cooling attachments which cool the surrounding skin to fully absorb any heat transmitted from the destroyed hair shafts
2.How long is a laser treatment?
The time to treat a person will depend on the treated area: underarms can take under 10 minutes; a back treatment may take up to one hour.
3.How many laser hair removal treatments will I need?
Because our hair growth cycle changes, and the laser can only target a hair in it's active phase, more than one treatment is usually required. Although one treatment will provide you with a permanent hair reduction, a series of 6-8 treatments are usually recommended.
4.How far apart are they scheduled?
Treatments are scheduled as follow:

6-8 weeks apart for the body
5. How much does a laser treatment cost?

6.Do I need to shave for my treatment?
It is strongly recommended that you shave the area of treatment prior to your session. If hair is present on the skin surface during treatment the treatment may not be as efffective.
